1. Traditional theological approaches in Asia often neglect marginalized voices
2. The concept of "margins" is explored as both a passive and dynamic space, essential for theological discourse.
3. Margins are seen as fertile grounds for imagination and resistance, challenging the hegemony of the center in theology.
4. Liberation theology from Latin America highlighted the need to focus on the marginalized, shifting the center of theological reflection.
5. The concept of "margins" is explored as both a passive and dynamic space, essential for theological discourse.
6. God journeys to the margins and is found at the periphery, calling for a migration from centers of power to encounter Him.
7. Affirmation of differences is the way of victims, reversing the pattern of history by giving victims a chance to write their own history and upholding the beauty of diversity
8. Asian/Tribal theologies need to begin in the margins, where God is available, moving beyond Western-dominated concepts of darkness to light.
9. From the perspective of the margins, God can be understood not only vertically but also horizontally, developing a committed theology that responds critically to challenges.
10. Biblical interpretations must consider the experiences of the margins, such as the poor who lack employment opportunities, to understand God's message.
11. Christian theology should liberate tribal/Asian people from inferiority, representing a positive, efficient, and liberative approach.
12. The task is to reconcile Christianity with margins’ culture, liberating the margins from poverty and oppression.
13. A positive and constructive approach is needed to avoid Christianity being seen as exclusive, domineering, and exploitative.
Acara ini telah menjadi wadah penting bagi para akademisi dan teolog untuk bertukar pikiran, memperdalam pemahaman, dan merumuskan kembali teologi yang lebih inklusif dan relevan dengan konteks Asia.
